Dr. Lisa Tobler
I went to college at Siena and graduated from the University of Wisconsin vet school in 1993. I grew up in upstate NY but I went to school in Wisconsin because that's where the cows were. I've been milking cows since I was ten and still milk to this day. In 2008 I met my husband during a DA surgery and we were married 4 months later. My husband, Joe, and I own a commercial cow/calf operation.
I milk and raise calves that are sold with show pedigrees and I’m very involved in the genetics at my family dairy farm.
I haven't missed a World Dairy Expo since I started going in 1989 and this is a big highlight to my year.
Although cows and herd health are my main focus I also enjoy working with horses, sheep, goats, pigs and camelids.
My passion is calf management and equine laceration repair.
I have had the opportunity to travel around the world and visit dairies in a variety of different countries. I hunted pheasants for ten years with my dog before he passed away.
Now I have 400 cows and two horses that call me mom.
Much of my free time is spent taking care of my animals.
I look forward to meeting you and answering any questions you might have..
Lisa
